LMHS Class of 2014

Last Wednesday we had our last campaigners with the class of 2014 students. It was heartbreaking for me, but also one of the most joyful nights of my life. We gave each of the graduated seniors a chance to take a few minutes to express any lessons they've learned or things that they wished they knew or advice to the underclassmen.  After hearing each of them speak, I realized that they get it . Oh my gosh, they get it. They get that they are horrible, sinful people and there's nothing they can do to change that, but they are fiercely loved by a wonderful God. They get the cross and that it demands a response. They get that this world, and especially high school, is temporary and that only what's done to further the kingdom will last. For some of them, it's taken the entirety of four long, hard years, but they finally get it. Oops, I'm blogging about this WAAAY late, as usual. I sit at a computer all day long, you think I would have time to write a mere blog now and again. Oh well. I want to tell you about my spring break! (Yes, that was back in March...) This trip was super fun because it was super spontaneous. As our last college spring break approached, Dan and I knew we wanted to do something really fun. We were going to go on a trip with a bunch of friends but that fell through. We had already taken time off of work so we just decided we would go somewhere fun on our own! We knew we wanted to travel internationally because, well, why not? The week before our break we had narrowed down our potential destinations to Paris, London or Dublin but we didn't want to book a hotel or anything until we knew we would for sure make our flights. Finally on the night before we left, after constantly checking the Delta openings we decided that London was our best bet. We got on Price-line and got an awes...
