I've never seen such beauty and sorrow meet...

Some of you may not know this about me, but I go through these phases where I get hooked on one particular song. I play it A LOT, whether on my computer, on my guitar or on my ipe, and the lyrics will constantly run through my mind. Then, in two or three weeks, I'll get hooked on a new song. It's a fun little process. My current song of fixation is Beautiful the Blood . I've heard this song so many times over the past few years, but it wasn't until recently that I listened, like really listened, to the lyrics. AND THEY'RE AWESOME. There honestly isn't much I could say about this song, because the lyrics say it all. Don't come around me for a while if you don't like this song, cause I'll constantly be playing it, humming it, listening to it, etc. Here, take a listen.

The best 32 days of my life

I miss work crew SO much. It was the hardest five weeks of my life and by far the most work I have ever done. On average, I got less than six hours of sleep a night and took one nap the whole time I was there. The laundry room, dining hall, kitchen and our cabin were not air conditioned. One day in July it hit 102 degrees. Ha, that was one of the best days. I have never sweat so much in my life. I did not have my phone, laptop or any way of communicating with the outside world besides writing/receiving letters and paying to use a phone that 40 girls had to share. Every six days we washed 1200 towels, 1200 sheets, 600 pillowcases and 150 tablecloths. And folded them all too, that was the worst part. (You have no idea what folding does to your arm muscles). And believe it or not, all the clean linens go basically unnoticed. A "thank you" was rare and treasured by laundry girls back in those days. But quickly the miserable work turned into glorious joy.
