This will be fun...
Hello fellow bloggers! I just returned from Rockbridge a few days ago for summer camp! It was awesome. It was so different being there as a leader, not a camper. It was A LOT harder. But it was still great! God taught me so many things, and if I got started about all of them it would take me about two hours to finish. So I'll save that for another time.
Jeez, Rockbridge really is my favorite place in the entire world. I told Jana that when Chris Baldwin retires to make sure that they hire somebody young and single so I can marry them and live at Rockbridge for forever. Gosh, talk about the most perfect life ever!
I love the girls that went on this camp trip with me! I got to know each of them so much better than I did before and they are all beautiful people. So, I thought it'd be fun to tell you about each of them. You know, like give each of them a little profile and then share how God moved in their life over our six days at Rockbridge.
So, meet Olivia.
Olivia is the biggest sweetheart in world. She just finished her freshmen year at Lloyd. Before camp, she wasn't living for Christ but she was making an effort. She came to campaigners almost every week and constantly had questions for me about the Bible. After the club talks each night, we would sit down and digest what we just heard and every night she had the most interesting insights. And she gets it! She understands that we are horrible, disgusting sinners, capable of nothing good. She understands that there is a huge hole inside of us that nothing of this world can fill. And she understands that Jesus died for our sins! By the end of the week, she wasn't ready to commit her life to Christ. It's a huge commitment that she just wasn't prepared to make after only six days. But it's okay, because God works through processes and He takes time. We are starting to meet once a week and I think that after a short while, she'll realize this is the best decision she could ever make. So, if you would, pray for her! Pray that God takes this knowledge that she acquired this week and makes it personal and that He gives her a desire to follow Him.
There will be more about the awesome Lloyd girls coming soon!
