C-A-T-S CATS CATS CATS
In case you've been living under a rock the past few days and haven't heard UK WON THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!
Obviously, I love UK. Even though I transferred and no longer go there, I love it just as much. Last year I got to go to Houston, TX to watch the Final Four with my dear friends Maggie and Bonnie. (Read about it here.) Unfortunately, as we all know, they lost in the Final Four but it was still a wonderful experience.
This year, I didn't win the student ticket lottery to go to New Orleans (somehow I am still considered a student there...awesome) so I figured the next best place to go was Lexington! Although I would have killed to actually be there when they won it all, watching it on campus was great. I watched the game with some friends then hit the streets to celebrate our win! It was so fun!
Things I miss about UK:
1. Diet Coke... NKU has Pepsi products and it makes me want to gag.
2. Living with a hall full of strangers that became my best friends.
3. Chicken Pestos and Ovid's in general.
4. The fun banners hanging on everybody's houses before games!
5. Walking everywhere... gas is expensive!
6. The school spirit. If you go to UK, you LOVE UK. Everybody has that in common and it really is a bond. It's hard to explain but if you go there, you know what I'm talking about. BBN.
Things I do not miss about UK:
1. Parking in K Lot. Yuck.
2. Angry squirrels throwing acorns at my head as I walked to and from class.
3. The gravel pathways in front of White Hall that become death traps when it snows and gets icy.
4. People asking me what sorority I was in before asking what my name was.
5. Walking 25 minutes to get to the Agriculture building on cold January mornings.
6. The smell of Commons... sick.

If I could marry this basketball team, I seriously would.
