The List
I love to travel. A lot, a lot, a lot. I wish I could travel more. I want to backpack across Europe. I'd love to go to an opera in Sydney. I'm dying to go back to Monaco. I'm begging my mom to take me to the Olympics in Rio two summers from now. Our planet is awesome. And while I want to quit my job, read books and globe trot for the rest of my life, I'll be the first to admit that America is pretty darn cool.
I think our little ole' country gets overlooked a lot. Foreign destinations just have this allure to them. And rightly so. But America has some cool destinations too. And usually, traveling within America is cheaper and easier to do on a whim. Which, is usually how Dan and I travel. Yay for spontaneity!
So anyway, I have this list that I made a while ago. It's a list of my top 16 cities in the US that I want to visit. When Dan and I got married he got inherited into the list and now it's the cities we want to visit together. This isn't a complete list. I've already added some cities to it since it's birth and I'll probably keep adding to it.
1. Chicago, IL (check! January 2012. Read about it HERE.)
2. St. Louis, MO (check! January 2014. Read about it HERE.)
3. New York City, NY (we've both been here separately but not together)
4. Washington DC (check! May 2013)
5. Boston, MA
6. Minneapolis, MN
7. Seattle, WA
8. San Fransisco, CA
9. Orlando, FL (check! March 2013)
10. Portland, OR
11. New Orleans, LA
12. Denver, CO
13. Las Vegas, NV
14. Austin, TX
15.Nashville, TN (check! September 2012)
16. Atlanta, GA
Also, Dan and I decided when we got married that we wanted to visit every National Park. That's an even longer list. There's like 48 natural national parks or something. I've been to like, five so far. So we have our work cut out for us.
Traveling is fun. God designed a really cool planet for us to adventure in.
